Character Profiles

Harrison Ward - The Killer. We chose Harrison to play the role of our killer as he is quite tall and has a muscular build. He therefore stands out as someone who could manage the task of killing people. He is 18 so fits the right age category we are aiming for as to fit in with the high school theme. We tried to have Harrison dress as normal as possible as we don't want it to be obvious that he is the killer. We though a plain jumper would work best, but a black one to emphasise his hidden dark side.

Adam Tyson - The 'Loner' Adam is again aged 18 so fits in with the high school theme much like Harrison. He will be one of the first to be killed within our story as he doesn't fit in- this emphasizes the idea of clicks within high school. We gave him a leather jacket to wear to emphasise the fact he doesn't fit in with the rest of the kids, and reinforce the idea hes a 'bad boy'- it makes sense that he is killed first.

Jade Daly - Claire - The Wanted Girl. Jade was a good choice as we didn't want 'Claire' To be the typical Blonde 'Barbie' that we often see in films set within high school. She has long brown hair which emphasizes her femininity. We decided to dress her in black and white stripes. This worked well as it shows the contrast of her feelings/role within the film. The black represents her lack of knowledge- shes in the dark about what the boys really think but the white represents the fact that when everyone dies - she doesn't know who the killer is she does know she is the reason why it's happening.

We though of a few possible ideas for Claire's costumes as obviously she is the main character and the reason for the murders. It was not possible to create each outfit but it gave us a better understanding of her character and opened up ideas allowing us to work with what we had.

The white shirt symbolises her innocence, purity, buttoned to the top, no cleavage on show she comes across as untouched. The short pleated skirt also looks innocent like a school uniform but also looks unintentionally sexy, it is light pastel blue to keep with the theme of purity. We thought tights would also show that at this point shes not flaunting her body-making the boys desire her more.

This costume was supposed to look allot more casual-a contrast to the pure look above. Although she comes across as natural she knows how she makes the boys feel. The red suggests temptation, there is more cleavage on show. This costume would be worn when she is alone with one of the boys. The red also suggests danger. Not that she is dangerous but that being alone with her is dangerous.

This costume would be worn later in the film/trailer. As she realises that she is the object of desire for ALL the boys she becomes more colourful. Although her knowledge is sinful. The colour also reinforces the idea that she is a moving target. Brighter than before, getting brighter the more the killer wants her. However the dress is supposed to look like a school pinny- showing she is still pure as no one has her - yet.

This is designed to be worn towards the end of the film. She looks less prim than she did at the beginning. The hoody and ripped jeans suggest shes trying to be one of the boys, she doesn't like whats happening and how it makes her feel. However the skinny jeans still show off her figure showing that she is fickle, and her character is evolving slowly. She is more concerned with herself she doesn't want to be the 'target' than the fact that people are dying because of her.
